The Celts

Project Work

Third and Forth class worked very hard on some amazing projects all about The Celts. They found out all about Celtic homes, dress and customs. We displayed all the lovely posters they made along the stairs so everyone could see and read about what we learnt.

Look at our wonderful lighthouses

Our art project included information from our science class about electricity. We worked in groups to plan and construct our lighthouses,  including an electricity circuit and bulb.

Young Scientist's Exhibition 2016

On Friday 8th January, the 3rd-6th classes were delighted to travel to the Young Scientist's Exhibition in the RDS in Dublin. It was an amazing day where the children were awed with presentations and demonstrations. We had an action packed day with a presentation about aeronautical space, a visit with Titan the Robot, a 3D celestial voyage, the world of robots, an insight into the life of a mentalist with David Meade and visiting the wonderful exhibitions from the primary and secondary schools. It was an amazing inspiring day and hopefully we will be back next year exhibiting!

Middle & Senior Room School Tour

On Monday 24^th June the pupils from the middle room and senior classroom set off for Dublin on their School Tour. 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd classes with their teacher Mrs. Binions visited Newbridge House and Open Farm Donabate.

We had a brilliant visit. First we had a tour of the house which had lots of really amazing furniture and the decor was beautiful. Then we went out to the farm. We saw lots of hen, ducks, geese and peacocks as well as sheep, goats, cows, ponies and pigs. The peacocks kept showing their beautiful tail feathers.
